Visit to West Norwood Cemetery

One of London's 'Magnificent Seven' cemeteries, West Norwood, Hosted by a guide from the Friends of West Norwood Cemetery. We can expect to see some graves of well-known people such as Tate, Doulton, Peek (of Peek Frean fame), Spurgeon and Mrs Beeton.

The cemetery contains historic monuments, catacombs, cremation plots, a columbarium and an Hellenic Enclosure. A new visitor centre is also expected to be open by the time of our visit and our guide very much hopes the newly restored St Stephen’s Chapel will also be open.

Practicalities: the cost of the guided tour is £10 per person and will include a 1.5 hour to 2 hour tour and a copy of The Illustrated Guide to West Norwood Cemetery by Bob Flanagan for each guest.
